Flashing ROM using SP Flash Tool

By Far the easiest way to flash ROM that I have come across is using SP Flash tool.

Prerequisite for Flashing ROM are as follows:

1. Mobile phone to Flash ROM on.
2. PC.
3. SP Flash tool.

Step 1: Download and Install SP Flash tool.

Step 2: Download the Firmware to Flash.

Download the firmware unzip the firmware and browse in the image folder.

There you will find XXXX_scatter.txt file.

File name will end as scatter.txt.

Step 3: Open SP Flash tool.

run the flash_tool.exe file from SP Flash tool downloaded folder.

Above looking screen can be seen after running the flash_tool.exe

Step 4:

Now choose the Scatter-loading-file option and select the above stated scatter.txt file from the image folder of the downloaded firmware.

Step 5:

Switch off your phone and connect to your PC using cable and select download from the SP Flash tool application.

Step 6:

Done.
